Alecid: this is an anticoccidial whose active ingredient is very active sulphaquinoxaline and pyrimethamine on coccidia. The pyrimethamine and sulphaquinoxaline block the synthesis of vitamin B9 (folate) needed for multiplication of schizonts (as coccidia). That is why the Alecid is effective on all species of coccidia.
